The MetroHealth Foundation

The MetroHealth Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Founded in 1954, it supports The MetroHealth System's mission by funding programs and projects in patient care, scientific and clinical research, and medical education.

Of Special Interest

	Nearly 1,000 walkers and runners raised $57,000 at the Hyland Software 5K Run benefiting MetroHealth, on May 18. Since 2009, the Hy-5 has raised more than $200,000 for our patients and programs. Thank you Hyland Software!
	Unite for the Cure attracted a few hundred people to E. 4th Street’s popular La Strada Restaurant for a big night of fun, food and music on May 25. This third annual event supported breast cancer awareness and treatment.
	Ride for HIV Wellness A few years after being diagnosed with HIV in 2008, Paul discovered MetroHealth’s Compass Services, a unique support program for people living with HIV. He is so grateful for Compass that he is now training for a 350-mile bike ride across Switzerland in July to raise funds for Compass Services. Learn more about the Ride for HIV Wellness.
	Hundreds viewed the acclaimed documentary, The Waiting Room, which was followed by a video that gave an insider's view of the MetroHealth Emergency Department. Learn more.

	Now that the American Tax Payer Release Act of 2012 has been signed into law, there are several changes that may favorably affect your charitable donations. Please note that the IRA charitable rollover is back for 2013. Learn more.
	East-side philanthropists Linda, Larry, Mort and Iris November made a donation of $1.5 million to improve access to oustanding care at MetroHealth. As such, MetroHealth’s newest site will be named the MetroHealth Middleburg Heights November Family Health Center. Read more about how their generosity impacts MetroHealth.
